Echoes of Fire is a heart-on-the-sleeve classic rock record about love, loss, conviction, and finding enough fire inside yourself to keep going. It begins in the wide-open optimism of romance, then follows that love through longing, heartbreak, regret, grief, and the realization that some people leave a permanent mark long after they’re gone. The album’s recurring imagery of flames, embers, storms, rain, and light gives those emotions a big, timeless rock ’n’ roll scale. It’s classic rock built around big emotions and bigger ideals: bruised but hopeful, romantic without being naïve, defiant when it needs to be, and always looking for that spark that survives after the fire burns down.

T.oB was conceived in 2016 as a project by songwriter Chris Bartlett aka PugXXL. For 40 years, he continues to write and record his songs at home as time allows and now uses AI to create versions of these songs for an alternative listening experience. He continues to hone his craft in Florida, in between answering support calls for a software company and while avoiding thunderstorms and hurricanes as often as possible.
