SUMMARY:

ATS Time Warp adjusts the North American Background Map by CairamR (steam workshop mod) and reduces ferry costs to fit the 1:1 Time Scale. This enables a properly scaled map for the 1:1 scale experience. It does not contain the actual map files!

WHY DRIVE 1:1 SCALE?

In vanilla ATS, hours pass in mere minutes, causing breathtaking scenery to flash by in a blur. This mod is built for drivers who want to slow down and sink into the atmosphere:

- Sweeping, Cinematic Sunsets: Watching the sun dip below the horizon stretches out over a realistic 30 to 40 minutes, casting slow-moving, gorgeous shadows across your cabin.

- Immersive Weather Rhythms: Localized rainstorms stay over your truck for an hour of real-world driving, letting you settle into a steady, relaxing rainy-day groove.

- Authentic Lighting: Dawn, dusk, and high noon last exactly as long as they do in real life, making night driving feel like a true nocturnal journey.

Due to hardcoded limitations within the core SCS Software game engine, the following mechanics cannot be modified or addressed via text configuration files (or I haven't found a solution just yet:

TRAVEL DISTANCES

Your drive from Washington State to Texas will be less than 200 miles. It will take 3-4 hours in real time to complete that drive. I do not yet have a solution that could alter that effect. But basically if it took you 1200 miles and 1 hour to drive, it will now be 60 miles and take 1 hours to drive. (roughly). 

THINGS TO TWEAK:

The map looks pretty good on the west and is slightly skewed on the East, most notably the islands if using Beyond by TerraMaps. I hope to tweak things to make this better on both ends. This is the first release and attempt to find asolution to there being no map for 1:1 time scale in base ATS. 

IMPORTANT!

DO NOT USE THIS WITH MY ATS FERRY REDUCED COSTS MOD! I have included the ferry adjustments in this Time Warp mod. Do not use both at the same time.
